The School

The Bartholdi Cookery School was set up by Toni Bartholdi in Radlett Hertfordshire in a stunning modern oak beamed kitchen in the family home.

‘We built the kitchen specifically with the cookery school in mind and want customers to have an enjoyable day learning new skills in very pleasant surroundings, using good equipment, tasting lots of food and finish the day feeling enthused and confident to be more adventurous with their cooking’.

 

The History

Having spent his entire working life in the food industry, starting work as a schoolboy helping out in the family’s Swiss restaurant in the West End and then learning all about high end Swiss style butchery, delicatessen and continental charcuterie, Toni built up a specialised food production company employing 150 chefs and production staff cooking top quality dishes and luxury food preparations for numerous premier banqueting, catering and retail companies throughout the UK, most of which were high profile events or well known household names.

Being largely self taught Toni has written many thousands of recipes and already passed on much of his knowledge, ethos, skills and cookery know-how to a host of people who he has worked with and who have found this experience invaluable in the food world.

True to his Swiss origins the Bartholdi reputation for high quality, expertise and reliability became the envy of the catering supply industry, setting the benchmark and making it the company of choice to supply top events.
